Title IX Training on Friday, Nov. 15, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

The Office of Graduate Education and Life and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion encourage you to join Title IX training, which may be required by your department. Review WVU’s Title IX policies and the protections against discrimination offered by BOG 1.6, and learn the basics of acceptable behavior in and out of the classroom and the many available resources for those affected by Title IX-related events. REMINDER - These sessions start promptly! Attendees should be logged in and ready to attend on time.

Writing Teaching Philosophy Statements on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 12:00-1:15 p.m.

This workshop will focus on drafting Teaching Philosophies or Teaching Statements for the academic job search. During the workshop, we will discuss the criteria for teaching philosophies and determine how to compose a strong document. After our conversation, students are invited to peer workshop their own statements.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Cracker Barrel on Thursday, Nov. 28, 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
