Grad students to showcase humanities summer internships, discuss career opportunities
Graduate students, faculty, staff, undergraduates and WVU community members with a passion for the humanities are invited to hear from doctoral students about their summer internship experiences working for various humanities-related employers.

The showcase features seven graduate students from the departments of History and English as they:
Share tips on how to secure summer internships in the humanities.
Discuss workplace skills that helped lay the groundwork for their on-the-job success.
Touch on available career options for those studying humanities fields.
Those who are interested in learning more about in-demand workforce skills developed in the humanities, such as communicating complex ideas to public audiences, advocating for important social causes, and applying research skills to new areas of inquiry, should attend!

All students are recipients from this year’s Humanities Summer Internship program, which provides competitive funding for recipients to find internships in nonprofits, museums, community historical groups and other nonacademic settings.
