I study theoretical condensed matter. My interest within the field include topological phases of matter and strongly correlated materials. Currently, I'm modeling semiconductor-superconductor heterostructures engineered to give rise Majorana fermions quasiparticles. These quasiparticle have properties that make them a promising candidate for the basis of a quantum computer. Understanding the conditions under which these special quasiparticles arise as well as manipulating these states are therefore important technological goals.
