The Office of Graduate Education and Life sponsors and cosponsors workshops, courses, and other events  to help graduate students explore career options and learn new skills in research, teaching, leadership, and writing.

Develop Skills for Success

WVU is an institutional member of the  National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity, which offers resources on developing skills for success in academic careers. Graduate students may join this organization and access these resources for free by signing up through an "Institutional Sub-Account Membership."

Career Services

The WVU Career Services Center offers career counseling, resume and cover letter reviews, interview skills training, and career fairs.

Doctoral Net

OGEL offers access to DoctoralNet. DoctoralNet is an all-access online student support resource for building a thesis and dissertation through modules and directed help. There are also "office hours" available for students seeking personalized assistance. WVU master's and doctoral students have full access to this service for FREE.
