Graduate Certificate Intent to Plan Instructions

Submit a document of no more than two pages to the Associate Provost for Graduate Academic Affairs that includes the following elements:
  1. The educational goal and objectives of the certificate.
  2. The relationship of the objectives to the mission of the University.
  3. A brief description of the certificate’s content.
  4. A statement assuring high quality standards will be maintained, including maintaining a continuing assessment of quality.
  5. Other institutions in West Virginia that offer similar programs.
  6. Anticipated student demand for the certificate.
  7. Additional resources (faculty, space, financial) needed.
  8. Appropriate unit approvals (e.g., department curriculum committee, department chair, college/school curriculum committee, dean, as appropriate).
